Dogue de Bordeaux Puppies

We are pleased to announce our next litter that will be due April 4th 2010 from our boy Rainbowdogues Centurion ( Heart 0 Hips 8-8=16) and our beautiful girl Rainbowdogues Grant's Girl (Heart 1 Hips 8-5-13, Elbows 0-0) Both dogs were bred by ourselves

This promises to be another outstanding breeding. We do have a waiting list already for this litter so please contact Pamela on 07810 448 627 for further information on this litter or to join the waiting list, or email us using the contact page.

We pride ourselves on the quality of our puppies and our strong breeding ethics. We strictly adhere to the Kennel Clubs guidelines of breeding and in fact better their rules, to protect our Dogues and their litters. The upmost care, love, attention and details goes into our breeding programme and we carefully plan for each litter. Our dogues are kept in superb condition physically and mentally. No expense is spared to ensure that all of their needs are met - above all our Dogues are very special members of our family who all live as pets in our home and not in kennels.

Our Dogues are Hip scored, Elbow scored and now also Heart Tested before breeding. We are now one of only a very few Kennels in the UK with this breed to Heart Test our Dogues. We have taken the decision to do this after working with DDB Welfare and seeing the amount of incidencies of Heart conditions in the breed. Specifically Aortic Stenosis and Cardio Myalgia - both of which are devastating and difficult to diagnose in dogs as they rarely show any symptoms. We are working with a Cardiology specialist in the North East and have deisgned tests to recognise any problems with our dogs hearts. We hope that this will further our efforts to breed Dogues with outstanding temperaments, Health and type and also inspire other breeders to Heart Check their Dogues too and help to eradicate the conditions through selective breeding.

Our puppies are loved and treated as part of our family from the moment they are born. They are whelped and weaned in our kitchen where we sleep with them for the first vital few weeks to ensure they are safe and well at all times. Their diets are specially formulated to ensure they recieve all their essential nutrition for the best possible start in life. The puppies are vet checked at 24 hours old as a precaution and are wormed at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks as well as being treated for fleas and ticks. Extra special care of course goes to the mother of the pups at this stressful time and she is regulary vet checked during pregnancy and after. All of our Dogues receive the best possible nutrition and are fed on the Royal Canin range of quality dog food along with a selection of raw meats including Raw Green Tripe, from Puppies all the way through their lives.

Our puppies are KC registered with excellent pedigrees - we are not a show kennels although we have started to show our Dogues as a hobby that we really enjoy and our puppies are show quality. They go to their new families at 8 weeks old after having their first vaccination, Microchip and full Vet check. We also provide a bag of recommended food (Royal Canin) they are paper trained and have recieved basic training for manners [ie they sit and lie down on command and sit to wait for their food]. We also provide a full puppy care pack with advice on socialising, training, security, health and grooming and also each pup has its own personal diet sheet for the first few months of recommended feeding.

We are proud of our after care of all puppies and guarantee a lifetime of support, help or advice whenever needed. We always request to stay in touch with new owners to see how the little ones are progressing. Visits, photos and updates are always welcomed! Pamela is a Canine Behaviourist and Psychologist so any training needs can be addressed - again for the lifetime of the dog.

We ensure our puppies only go to suitable loving and kind homes and advise our new families to visit us as often as they wish to spend time with all of our dogues [especially the parents of the litter and the puppies] We also wait untill the pups are 4-5 weeks before allowing them to be selected so their individual characters are present to ensure they"fit in" well to their new family.
